* Adjust thermostat.
* Take out trash.
* Remove perishable food.
* Stop or manage mail and package deliveries.
* Arrange plant care.
* Arrange pet care if necessary.
* Set lighting timers or smart-home routines.
* Unplug unnecessary appliances.
* Tell a trusted person the travel dates.
* Verify that emergency contact information is available.
* Freeze a cup half filled with water and put a coin on top -> if the coin is still on top when you return, then your refrigerator never defrosted.
